No, using the online boat appraisal is free

J.D. Power collects data from tens of thousands of boat sale transactions each month. Their longstanding relationships include a range of top industry sources, manufacturers, and dealers.

The J.D. Power database grows every day based on:

  • Auction transactions
  • Retail sales data
  • Asking prices from classified listing sites

J.D. Power has a strong history of collecting the most comprehensive industry data whether it be automotive, RV, motorcycle, boats, and more. They have built the industry's most robust data archive spanning years of collection. This information forms the foundation for the J.D. Power values. J.D. Power leverages the latest technology, deep knowledge of each segment's market, statistics and analytics.

First, check to see if your boat includes the outboard motor by checking the brand and/or model note included in your valuator email. This will show whether the value of the outboard motor is included. If the value is not included, we'll ask you for your outboard motor information and quantity and evaluate those as well.

First, check to see if your boat includes the trailer by clicking on the brand and/or model note included in your values email. This will show whether the value of the trailer is included. If the value is not included, we'll ask you for your trailer information and evaluate it as well.

J.D. Power does not offer an individual automatic adjustment for engine hours. Engine hours would be considered one of the factors in determining the condition of the engine. When appraising a boat, you must take into consideration the overall condition of the unit including interior, exterior, mechanical conditions, fresh or saltwater usage, and hour meter readings. A final adjustment of the operating hours of your boat must be determined by an in-person inspection.

The trade-in value you receive is just the first step to helping you decide if you want to trade-in or sell your boat. With this information, you are invited to visit Camping World or RVs.com to have them evaluate your boat in-person to receive a quote to purchase or trade-in your boat towards a new boat or RV.
